4 Reasons to Visit the Mall at Green Hills in Nashville
As a child of the 90s and early 2000s, a good mall will always be exciting for me. The Mall at Green Hills is a high end mall with over 120 shops with everything from luxury brands to trendy boutiques.
It’s one of my favorite malls to go to in Nashville (although it is admittedly much nicer than the mall I grew up going to).
The two-story mall is in the Green Hills neighborhood, which already has more than its share of good shopping options. It’s definitely worth stopping by this mall though.
Here are 4 reasons why I think you’ll love the Green Hills Mall + 1 thing I wish was different about it.
The Green Hills Mall has a great atmosphere.
Malls are designed to make you want to buy things, but the Green Hills Mall doesn’t have the frantic/chaotic atmosphere that some malls have. There aren’t a ton of kiosks in the middle with vendors trying to catch your attention, and it feels like the walkways are more spacious here, too.
The stores are typically very neat and tidy, and all of the common spaces are well-maintained.
The mall has covered parking.
While it might sound odd to be excited about a parking garage, I really appreciate that you can get inside the mall without being exposed to the elements.
Getting everyone buckled into a hot car in the summer is not fun, so it’s nice to not have to worry about that. Plus, the mall is a great spot to spend a few hours on a rainy day without having to wait for a break in the rain to head back to the car.
You’ll find unique shops.
Nashville has several malls and a good amount of shopping options, but the Mall at Green Hills has more than 120 different retailers with more than 50 of them being the only location in the area.
A number of these stores are in the luxury category including Burberry, Chanel, David Yurman, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co.
I particularly like L’Occitane and LUSH, and this is the only place nearby where you can find those stores.
The anchor stores are excellent.
There’s something really nice about a good department store at the mall, and this one has that category covered.
You’ll find Dillard’s, Macy’s, and the only Nordstrom in Tennessee (although there are 4 Nordstrom Rack locations in other places across the state).
But, there’s no food court.
The one downside to the Mall at Green Hills is that there is no food court. There are still places to eat like Nordstrom Grill and the Cheesecake Factory. However, there’s no central food court area, which to me is part of the fun of the typical mall experience.
You can still get your mall pretzels from Auntie Anne’s though or pick up a drink from Starbucks.
There are some one-of-a-kind food options, too, like the RH Courtyard Restaurant, which is absolutely stunning.
