Stop for a Sip at Hanna Bee Coffee
Hanna Bee Coffee is a bit of a hidden local gem in East Nashville. The adorable coffee shop is on Eastland Avenue but on the west side of Gallatin. In fact, I only came across Hanna Bee Coffee because it’s right next to The Bookshop. And, now, I keep coming back over and over.
First, the coffee shop is decorated so beautifully. It’s perfect for bringing your laptop to get some work done, and it’s equally great to visit with a friend and chat for a while. Hanna Bee Coffee is light and bright inside, and it just feels so welcoming.
I also really appreciate the beverage selection. Despite spending a lot of time in coffee shops, I’m not really a coffee drinker, but I can get a London fog or hot chocolate here year-round. Plus, they have so many fun seasonal drinks. One of my favorites is the Sunburn, a watermelon/strawberry lemonade that was so popular during the summer that it’s now part of the permanent menu.
Hanna Bee has also released a more substantial food menu since opening. I haven’t tried anything other than what’s in the small pastry case yet, but it looks promising with items like the strawberry-nilla stuffed croissant and the chicken salad sandy.
Of course, one thing that makes the coffee shop especially appealing is that it’s right next to The Bookshop. You can buy a new book and then spend the morning reading it at Hanna Bee’s, which really sounds like an ideal day out. (I also love that the restaurant Peninsula is nearby, but unfortunately, their hours don’t really overlap, so you can’t combine going from one to the other as easily.)
Despite there being so many coffee shops in Nashville, Hanna Bee’s still manages to feel very unique. If you’ve never been to Hanna Bee Coffee, I’d definitely encourage you to stop by. It’s got such a great atmosphere.
