Try the Macarons at D’Andrews Bakery & Cafe (Nashville)
Last updated 3/20/24
Searching for a sweet treat in Downtown Nashville? You have a lot of options, including D’Andrews Bakery & Cafe.
Executive chef and owner David Andrews returned to his Nashville roots to open the bakery after years of working in the New York City food scene. D’Andrews serves everything from handcrafted pastries to delicious sandwiches.
The bakery is in a great location downtown, not far from the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Ryman Auditorium, and the National Museum of African American Music.
Their macarons are absolutely magnificent. In the winter, the bakery makes snowman macarons with white chocolate lemon ganache that are as adorable as they are delicious. The hot chocolate at D’Andrews is made with Valrhona chocolate from France which I cannot recommend enough.
Besides pastry and coffee items, the bakery has a selection of lunch sandwiches all made with homemade bread. Nothing in the store is commercially made. D’Andrews makes everything in-house including the mayo and dijonnaise for the sandwiches.
I normally stop in for a macaron or cookie at D’Andrews when I go to the Downtown library, so I haven’t had their sandwiches yet. I can’t imagine them being anything other than amazing based on the quality of the other things I’ve tried there.
If you’re Downtown, D’Andrews is worth checking out. Make sure you get at least one pastry while you’re there!
