Grab Dinner at Assembly Food Hall in Downtown Nashville

Last updated: 12/24/24
Assembly Food Hall is one of my top recommendations for places to eat in Downtown Nashville. With more than 30 restaurants and bars, calling it a food court is an understatement. Assembly Food Hall is a destination in itself, especially its three stages while live music and other entertainment takes place on a regular basis. In fact, it’s even one of my suggestions if you only have 24 hours to spend in Nashville.
Assembly Food Hall is located just across from the Ryman Auditorium and is just a couple streets from Downtown Nashville attractions like Bridgestone Arena, the Nashville Public Library, and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
One of the best things about the food hall is that you’re able to try out a lot of local Nashville places all in one spot. You can get a decadent grilled cheese sandwich from the Cheese Lab, try out the original Nashville Hot Chicken at Prince’s, or find out why everyone loves the garlic aioli at Pharmacy Burger.
There’s a range of local and global cuisine available. Plus, there are options for dietary needs including dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
What to Eat at Assembly Food Hall

Prince’s Hot Chicken is one of my go-to choices at Assembly Food Hall. I get my chicken with no heat, and it’s still amazing. If you do get Prince’s, I’d also suggest getting an order of fries. They may be known for their chicken, but the fries are also incredible.
If the line is too long at Prince’s or I don’t feel like waiting, Velvet Taco, Thai Esane, and Steam Boys are my next favorite options.
With so many different places to eat, I’d recommend looking at Assembly Food Hall’s website before deciding where you want to try. Also, be aware that there are two sides connected by a walkway, so you won’t see everything unless you walk across.
Things to Keep in Mind about Assembly Food Hall

Assembly Food Hall vendors do not take cash. But, you can still order. There are kiosks inside where you can get a Hall Pass card with your cash to use at the different vendors.
The one downside to Assembly Food Hall is that not every restaurant has their full menu available. You won’t notice this unless you go to other locations, but if say, you’re used to the full menu at Pharmacy Burger, you might be disappointed that they only have a couple of options. It makes sense that the vendors wouldn’t be able to do as much there as they would at a stand-alone restaurant though.
The prices are about on par with what you’ll find at other places to eat in Downtown Nashville. Don’t expect to find any great deals, but for the location, the prices are reasonable. If anyone knows how to eat cheaply in Downtown, let me know because I haven’t figured it out yet.
